My historical interests include monarchy, sixteenth century art and religion. My research examined the imagery used by Mary I (1553-1558) to present herself as a queen and mother figure.

I have worked as a historical consultant for Spink & Son Auction House.

I am the historical consultant for Ashford Museum.

What is your research?

I examine the imagery used by Mary I (1553-1558). I examine how the queen used portraits, coins, medals, legal document illuminations and stained glass windows to promote her agenda.

How many images of Mary did you find?

In total I found over three hundred images of England’s first queen. To see some of these do take a look at my Gallery.

Where did you study?

I completed my BA (Hons) at the University of Chichester 2016-2019.

My Masters was completed in the School of Medieval and Early Modern Studies (MEMS) at the University of Kent 2019-2020.

My PhD was completed again at MEMS at the University of Kent 2020-2024.
