Queen’s Bench Rolls

Queen’s Bench Rolls

The coram reges rolls were commissioned by judges or court officials to record the cases that were heard in the Court of the Queen’s Bench; this acted as a necessary part of the record-keeping which was central to the bureaucracy of the court.

The Queen’s Bench was the most senior criminal court in England, having jurisdiction over the other criminal courts in the land.
